Field & Track Events and Times:

March 12, 9:00-2:00

Track & Field Events Rules:

HIGH JUMP RULES:

Jumping technique is limited only in that the jumper may not jump in a face-first dive. Instead, the scissor-kick may be used, or the Fosbury flop, or the traditional "straddle" technique. The crossbar will be raised one inch at a time. Competitors will be given three attempts; the third consecutive failed attempt disqualifies the competitor from further competition. The highest jump in each group wins.

JUMP ROPE RULES:

Jumping rope will be done on the concrete court in front of the schoolhouse. Competition will be to complete the highest number of successful revolutions of the rope in 60 seconds.

LONG JUMP:

Distance will be measured from the take-off line to the nearest landing imprint. Two attempts will be allowed. The longest eligible jump in each group wins.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL THROW:

Distance of throw will be measured from the baseline to the farthest of two attempts. The longest eligible throw in each group wins.

50-YARD DASH/RELAY RACE:

Touching a fellow competitor is grounds for disqualification. The fastest time around the track wins in each group.
